PROF CHRIS JACKSON
Professor Chris Jackson is a geologist and as such was part of a team of scientists featured in the 2017 BBC documentary Expedition Volcano. He delivered the final 2015 Geological Society of London lecture series, and this year will be giving a Royal Institute Christmas Lecture (the first Black scientist to do so!)
DR JESS WADE
Dr Jess Wade is a physicist who has contributed via public engagement to increase gender diversity in STEM, advising new programmes aimed at supporting women in science. She is possibly best known for creating over 1200 Wikipedia articles about notable female academics, and academics who come from underrepresented backgrounds.
